Respite Care

Our volunteers provide short-term respite care services. We will help watch over cancer patients in need, so that family caregivers can take a break from having to watch over their loved ones.

Respite care services provided by NHCCCF follow HIPAA guidelines to protect the privacy of all  patients information.

Volunteering services include:

• 2 hours of respite care
• Provide same-room company to the patients
• Does not include doing house chores and running errands
• Provide relevant information and resources

Volunteers cannot:

• Provide medical care and medical advices (can provide information)
• Administer drugs and feed food
• Set up/adjust/test oxygen delivery devices
• Change diapers, bedding and clothing of patients
• Provide urinary catheter related care
